WHO WE ARE
DAVSPE Research and Visual Art Centre Co. Limited is a Uganda-registered research and visual communication organisation (URSB No: 80034990392530), founded in 2024 with a bold and clear mandate — to drive African socio-economic transformation through evidence-based research, policy advocacy, and capacity building.
We are not a lobbying firm. We are not a think tank that produces reports no one reads. We are an action-oriented research centre that bridges the critical gap between complex data and real-world development impact — from the corridors of government ministries to the furthest rural communities across Uganda, East Africa, and the African continent.
Our vision is to become a continent-wide centre of excellence in applied research and visual communication, anchored by five core values: professionalism, integrity, equity, innovation, and inclusion.

We specialise in translating complex research data into accessible knowledge products, designing rigorous evaluation frameworks, and crafting impactful policy briefs that move decision-makers to act. In 2026, we partnered with the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology to convert National Repository Unit research into actionable policy products aligned with Uganda’s National Development Plan IV (NDPIV) and Vision 2040. Our ongoing collaboration with the NESS Science Network continues to document critical advancements in climate mitigation and eco-security to support sustainable livelihoods across the region.

OUR CORE AREAS OF TECHNICAL FOCUS
DAVSPE delivers high-impact, evidence-based solutions across eight core technical areas:
RESEARCH & EVIDENCE GENERATION We design and execute basic and applied research to guide national development agendas — from policy and applied research to feasibility studies and baseline assessments that inform new project designs.
VISUAL COMMUNICATION & KNOWLEDGE PACKAGING We translate complex technical data into accessible infographics, visual briefs, and multimedia products. We also convert national repository innovations into interactive, user-friendly digital and physical knowledge assets.
CAPACITY BUILDING & INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT We deliver tailored technical training and organisational diagnostic assessments for partners. Through long-term coaching frameworks, we enhance client staff competencies and build lasting institutional capability.
POLICY ANALYSIS & STRATEGIC ADVOCACY We draft evidence-based position papers and policy briefs for legislative and stakeholder engagement. We also facilitate high-level policy dialogue forums to drive systemic accountability and meaningful action.
MONITORING, EVALUATION & LEARNING (MEL) We execute rigorous mid-term, end-line, and impact evaluations for multi-sectoral projects. We assess existing data collection systems and deploy modernised digital MEL tracking platforms.
STRATEGIC PROGRAM DESIGN We craft Results Frameworks, Logical Frameworks (LogFrames), and Theories of Change. We design SMART indicator profiles aligned with national and international development goals.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT & INCLUSIVE CAMPAIGNS We design public awareness campaigns tailored for PWDs and low-literacy audiences. We also create strategic dissemination roadmaps to share knowledge across government, NGO, and community channels.
ANALYTICAL PUBLICATIONS & TECHNICAL DRAFTING We research and author Issue Papers, Contextual Analyses, and Action Research Syntheses. We produce Working Papers that inform contemporary national and global development debates.
